Regarding the Global Report for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture: SNHR Says that the Security Council Have to Create Effective Mechanisms to Protect Detainees from the Syrian authorities.

Regarding the third consecutive report for the rehabilitation of torture victims, which is implemented by the World Council for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture, the SNHR addresses the issue of torture victims in Syria:

Syria:
SNHR, which is exerting its efforts to document and prevent detainees’ torture, has issued a report on 26 June that spread widely through the media outlets.
The report included a recommendation to the Security Council about the need for the adoption of effective mechanisms for the protection of detainees held by the Syrian government in particular.
In addition, the report asked the United Nations Security Council by pressing on the Syrian Government and other parties, to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to access the detention centers, and to support the prisoners.
